He has the whole world in there, and his name on the outside of it. A clear bobo holding a soft-focus globe in deep blue and antique gold, finished with "Best Dad in the World" in gold and white script. Hand-tied with white satin.

What is a bobo balloon?

Not your average balloon. A bobo is a crystal-clear, stretchy orb — hand-filled with pearls, gold flake, or a soft latex colour balloon, then styled and finished with flowing satin ribbon.

The balloon itself is 24" (about 60cm) across, and the finished piece stands around 150cm tall with its ribbon — a true statement piece, closer to a floral arrangement than a party balloon. Handmade to order in our Auckland studio, and photographs beautifully.

How long it holds depends on how it's kept — indoors, out of direct sunlight and away from heat.
